ShapeIQ ("the app", "we") is a fitness app that uses your photo to give you an indication of your body shape in relation to your own goal. This privacy policy explains what data the app processes, why, where it is stored, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

ShapeIQ uses an account so that your scans stay tied to you and your subscription works across reinstalls. You create that account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Apple or Google. The following data is processed solely to enable the app's functionality:

If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email address, we only receive the anonymous relay address Apple generates for you.
Photos of your body and the derived analysis may be classified as a special category of personal data (health or body-related data) under Article 9 of the GDPR. By taking and sending the scan photo for analysis, you explicitly consent to this. You can withdraw this consent at any time by deleting your data or your account (see section 5).
On your device: your profile, your scan results, your daily progress and the scan photos themselves are stored in the app's own storage on your iPhone. They are not placed in your general photo library, are not shared with other users, and there is no cloud database in which your photos or scan results are kept.
On our server: only what is needed to run an account is stored with our hosting provider (Supabase): your email address, an encrypted version of your password or the identifier from your Apple/Google sign-in, your optional name, the date your account was created, your invite code, and which accounts have redeemed a code. Your photos and scan results are not part of this.
To perform AI analysis, your scan photo is sent once to our server function, which forwards the photo to an AI service (currently based on the Anthropic Claude API) to generate the analysis. The following applies:

ShapeIQ does not use advertising networks and does not use third-party analytics or tracking software. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Your data remains as long as you use the app. You are in control of deleting it:
Any paid subscriptions and one-off purchases in ShapeIQ are handled through Apple's in-app purchase system, with RevenueCat as the technical layer that tells the app what you are entitled to. We do not receive payment data (such as credit card numbers) — this is processed solely by Apple in accordance with Apple's privacy policy.

ShapeIQ is not intended for children under 16 years of age. If you are under 16, use the app only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss or misuse: your scans and photos stay on your own device, account data is protected with access rules that only give you access to your own records, passwords are never stored in readable form, and all traffic between the app and our server runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example when the app's functionality changes. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated. For significant changes, we will notify you via the app.
